Xavier breathed a weary sigh. Usually, it was the teenagers' minds he had trouble focusing, but today, it was his own. The wet, windy weather had him constantly recalling every time he'd ever spent with his love in the rain.
He caved, announcing, "Class dismissed," to a chorus of whooping students. Bobby raced to the window to transform the drizzle into snow; Hank and Angel left immediately. Only Scott and Jean remained.
"Professor, are you all right?" asked Jean.
"Of course, my dear." He was fine - as fine as he'd ever be without Erik's constant, loving presence in his life.
