She remembers him every time it rains, and she recalls again, both with fondness and sorrow, how he made her feel that wet day they walked home together. Neither of them had had a raincoat or umbrella, so he'd shared his jacket with her instead. She smiled at the memory of how determined he'd been to keep her from feeling any of the chilly wind or drizzling droplets. She longs for those days and times when he'd made her feel safe and loved and as though anything was possible. Then, sadly, she forces her focus back to her real life.
