Lonely Heart
Purin-chan: ^^ Yay. My first Saber Marionette J fanfic. Just a short little drabble about a certain marionette. Angst warning.

What is a heart?
A smile
I had one?
A slight nod of the head
I don't understand
"Whatever you say, Faust-sama."
She followed slowly, a fake
smile plastered on her face. Her eyes were dull, void of the
sparkle of happiness and pain they once had.
The cold, moist earth felt like nothing as it slid through her
fingers. She placed the vibrant flower into the small pit
carefully, her fingertips brushing the petals lightly before
letting it go. She then stood up, her expression unchanged, and
followed him back to the manor.
Lorelei? That name sounds
familiar.
She bowed politely. "Konn-ichiwa, Lore-lei-san."
"The lorelei are in bloom again, Faust-sama. Would you
like to go see them with me?"
Her feet moved her automatically out of the room, leaving Faust
and Lorelei to talk quietly between themselves. The jealousy that
would have been there, should have been there, was absent.
Why would you risk your life
if you have someone to live for?
"Because I have a
heart"
The corridor was dark. Her arms
hung limp to her sides as she walked. Every step, every movement,
was all done by a program. She had no mind of her own, no will,
no emotions.
The doorknob had a small impression
in it where she would always grab it. As it had been programmed
into her, her fingers wrapped around the brass knob and opened it
routinely. She walked over and sat down in the chair quietly as
Luchs began to connect cords to her body. The artificial light
behind her eyes dimmed as her eyelids slowly closed
"Faust-sama yasashii
Faust-sama please do not forget the
kindness you showed me"
