Ty lee and Mai found themselves both wishing they didn't go exploring with Azula, and instead fed the turtle ducks or something...
Azula had led them to some odd place, and they ended up getting stuck together in this small, tight, area.
It had what felt like stone brick walls, although they couldn't confirm if it was because there was just a small bit of sunlight peaking through and they could barely see anything.
"We're stuck!" Ty Lee said, trying to push the bricks or kick them for a way out.
"I'm sure somebody will come and find us, Ty Lee." Mai said patiently.
Ty lee calmed down and looked away.
There was a moment of silence, until it was broken by Ty Lee.
"Mai?"
"Yes, Ty Lee?"
"What's a 'first kiss' like?" Ty Lee said, turning her head to Mai.
Mai's eyes widened a bit, she wasn't sure how to answer that..
"Um, I wouldn't know, Ty Lee."
"Okay." Ty Lee said, "I figured you'd know cause' you know a lot of things, but I guess I'll just ask another question!"
But now Mai was curious.
Mai ended up answering about 84 questions of Ty Lee.
Ty Lee seemed to think since they might die here, why not find out the answers to things she'd never know if she died there..
"Mai, do you think a hippo cow can learn to fly?"
"Maybe."
"Oh! I wonder if I could teach one to juggle!"
"That's quite possible."
But Mai was still curious..
What was a 'first kiss' like?
Or any kiss, for that matter?
Mai decided she wanted to find out.
"Hey, Ty Lee?"
"Yeah, Mai?" Ty Lee said, snapping out of asking a bunch of questions and looking at Mai.
"Do you still want an answer to your first question?"
"Uh, yeah! Why?" Ty Lee said, but before she could blink..
Mai kissed Ty Lee.
"Oh, I think I like that answer!" Ty Lee said.
Mai and Ty Lee fell asleep later and woke up outside of the little cave thing.
They never talked about it again, but sometimes they'd exchange glances and remember it.
It had been a nice moment.
