A/N: Hey guys! This is a story based off of Strata of The Travelers story Supermarkets .This one is starring… Hermes the one and only delivery boy of Olympus Oh what happens when Aphrodite wants him to get something and the only thing standing in the way is… a Toddler.

Enjoy~

Hermes sighed. He was standing the middle of the sweet treats aisle of the store. He couldn't decide between the pink bubble gum flavored licorice or the mint flavored one. It was just too hard. If he didn't get the right flavor Aphrodite would make Ares kill him. More or less Hermes would have rather been killed by Artemis, a painless death was better than that was it not?

"Look mommy!" A young toddler was running down the aisle. Hermes looked over, he liked young children but he had a strong feeling that the kid was going to take the last box of either flavor. Just like Apollo had told him, never doubt a strong feeling, you're a god and it always will be true. Hermes stared at the boxes again. Aphrodite had only given him enough money to buy one box and he doubted drachmas would be called 'money' here. The longer he stared the bigger headache he got. Hermes was beginning to regret taking on the job as messenger boy.

"That oh so kindly Apollo had to talk me into. Why isn't he the god of… persuasion?" Hermes muttered to himself. The toddler was nearing him again. Hermes made a shooing away motion with his hands,

"Scram kid, scram." He whispered. The little boy just looked up at him with big wide soft brown eyes. Then the little twerp reached out and snatched not one but both boxes of licorice. Hermes had started to make a scene then. He jumped up and yelled,

"No wait! Dite needs those! Come back!" He started to chase the three or four year old around the store. He ran through the check-out line. The check-out line was long and the kid had taken Hermes around the end of it, where two old ladies, one with a walker the other a cane, where paying. Hermes had skidded to a stop near them waiting for them to leave. But he had misjudged the timing and crash slammed into the one with the cane.

"Oh no here we go again." The one with the walker said as Hermes began to feel the cane bashing him in places he didn't want to be touched. Then the walker rolled over his face. Hermes was helpless, he didn't bring his dagger with him and either way he couldn't attack mortals with it. But then again Hermes thought the grandmas couldn't be mortals they had to be furies or something in disguise. He just lay there squirming not wanting to hit an old lady when help arrived. A sweet voice called out,

"Wendy, Silva the nursing home bus is almost ready to leave. You two need to be one it." Hermes smiled; Artemis had come to rescue him finally. Artemis was in the form of a sixteen year old girl and was wearing some 'nursing home' uniform. She tried as gently as she could to pry the old ladies off of him. When she did Hermes stuttered out,

"Thank you." Artemis nodded and ushered the old ladies to the bus. Then she waved him over and as Hermes got up and turned around the little toddler was in line. He was still holding the boxes and was smiling showing off his baby teeth to Hermes saying, 'ha, victory shall be mine'. As he walked out of the store, Hermes glared into the kids big wide soft brown eyes and got ready for a month in Hades palace, scrubbing the bathroom floor.

A/N: XD Yes i had Arty rescue him. She had to; otherwise he'd be dead now. I know this is rather short but… it was done in about 15-20 mins tops. I feel sorry for Hermes…. Don't you?
