June 21, 2020, the day that changed my life forever.

I was at the ports of Vancouver in one of the naval bases of the RCN, it was always a normal and peaceful day at that time. I was working with the crew on the HMCS Vancouver in the naval base of Victoria, BC. I and the crew worked on the sonar to make it work perfectly, but the trials didn't work so well, the sonar wasn't working correctly and we're trying to fix it, but didn't work so well. Then the Captain came in saying that we're departing the port in 15 minutes for the mission.

"So what's the situation, sir?" I asked

"The mission is to investigate a ship near Vancouver, the police had called us for some reason to investigate it because it was a "Ghost Ship" or something like that. They told us it was an aircraft carrier of some sort."

"Ghost ships? Really?"

"Yea I know it's a weird subject to talk about, but to get straight to the point there basically old ships revived from the dead, and that ship is one of them. With all that said, be ready for action stations,"

"Yes sir!" we all said

15 minutes have passed, and we embarked to Vancouver where the ship is located. The warrant officer commanded the ship and sets the course. While the captain is sailing the ship going to our destination, down here we're basically trying to detect the anything underwater since that's our job. Then after the ship got near the ship, then I was called at the bridge to speak with the captain.

"Ok," he said

He was standing there waiting for an interruption

"Captain, what are your orders?"

He turned around to me with a worried look.

"(Y/N) this is going to be a risky task, so listen to me carefully,"

"Sure, I guess?" I questioned in my mind what he was worried about.

"Your job is to explore the enemy ship, you'll use a rifle if there are hostiles on board. You took target practice right?"

"Yessir,"

"A boat will escort you to the ship, a squad will be with you during the exploration," then he gave me a rifle and a radio to contact him if needed. I nodded in return for explaining.

"Good,"

I left the bridge and went to my room to get some trama packs preparing for the mission, wearing my combat uniform for this type of job. I went out of the door taking my rifle with me and went outside of the ship waiting for my squad outside on the deck. Then they arrived at the deck, ready for my orders.

"Alright guys, check your rifles if they're working properly, then we're going to be escorted to the aircraft carrier to check any people in there, or hostiles inside. Is that understood?"

"Yessir!"

My squadmates and I checked their C7 rifles, then we got on the RIB to be escorted to the ship.

"So what's kind of ship exactly?" one of the squadmates said

"An aircraft carrier,"

"is there any people in there?" I asked

"Nope, we contacted them using the radio and it didn't work well," a seaman said

HMCS Vancouver became farther than it was when we left, but each nautical mile gets us closer to the aircraft carrier, then the Canadian Coast Guards came in with their boats guarding near the ship and they saw us coming near the ship. One of the SAR boats came near us to ask us some questions.

"This is a highly guarded area, leave now!" They said

"We're from the HMCS Vancouver, we are here to investigate the ship," I answered, then the man nodded and he saw the aircraft carrier after then.

"I see, so your commander told you to come here,"

"Yessir,"

Then a man came out to see for himself. "He's telling the truth boys, let them past through," "Thank you, sir," I replied back to him. We continued to move on, then the boat started to follow us, he told us on the radio just being a part of the escort.

"I'll assist you all the way, my friend,"

I turned back forward and saw the big aircraft carrier near me. We got near it but the question is how to get in, "Now what?" They said, "Well, there should be something to help us board a ship," I said. That's should have been the first question before we left and yet I didn't think of that. The crew of the SAR boat are chatting on how to get aboard the ship, I was still facing the aircraft carrier thinking on how to get in but then a path was opened up and I never thought something can do this.

"Hey guys, over here!"

"What is it!"

Then they turned around and saw a flight of stairs showed up in front of their eyes.

"Never thought an aircraft carrier can do that?"

"It can't," I answered back, "I'll test it if it's safe,"

It was a crazy thought that a flight of stairs showed up floating above the sea level which was extraordinary, never these carriers can do that but this one did. I tested the flight of stairs and tapped it by my feet a couple of times, then went up taking each step carefully "Guys, it's fine!" I shouted and the rest of my squadmates followed me to the ship. I continued to step carefully as I continued going up the path, we got there eventually, but the flight deck was empty and didn't have any aircraft on it.

"Weird, no aircraft?" Austin said

"They must be in the hangar, probably?" I said

We continue on with the mission, now on phase two, I'd say. We split the group into two members being called A and B, The A group is going to check the bridge where the captain is located I assume and the B group will check the hangar.

"Alright guys, good luck and watch your six Ok?"

"Got it," The B group said

The B group left us and went to the hangar while we went up to the bridge to see any people up there. We used our rifles if any hostiles in the ship are going to attack us. We talk using our comms to communicate with each other and the other group. "Group B how's it going?" I asked, "Doing fine sir, but there are no people here, only jets," "continue looking, guys," I ordered "Yessir," they said.

"Do you see anyone?" I asked

"No sir, no one is here,"

I was beginning to think that no one controls the ship apparently, but we need to find more information about this ship. then we approached the bridge seeing no one and saw some big tech that I've never seen before. The control panels we modern and saw some lines going to the control panel. Then a button was blinking, I approached the control panel and saw the button saying "Push for Emergency".

"Hmm, nobody is here I guess," I said

"Permission to leave sir?"

"Granted, let's get outta here,"

The mission concluded as a questionable one and many questions appeared out of my mind trying to figure it out what kind of ship is this. As soon as my squadmate left the room, emergency sounds are sounded out of the speakers and a wall appeared in the doorway.

"Group B, (L/N) needs rescue, we need backup now!" Austin said

I banged the door trying to get out of this mess, I tried using everything on the ship including my rifle but the ship didn't let me go and the wall is still there. My squadmate contacted group B to help me out of this mess.

"This fucking thing trapped me, I can't get out!" I said

I used my feet to take down this wall but it was indestructible and it made my feet and my hands hurt.

"Fuck! Lee contact the coast guard to get me out of this mess!"

And so he did, he used the radio to get the coast guard. They responded from the message and said "we can't access the aircraft carrier because the stairs disappeared," The captain shouted, "The good thing is a rescue helicopter is on the way, I've contacted them and they'll try to reach you in time ETA 3 mins.". I heard them on the radio that they're coming to rescue, but the problem is the wall. The wall was impenetrable at this point. The B group came in to help me.

"Sir we're here to help you!" Group B said

"Good, now help get the fuck outta here!" I shouted

"Austin do you have a C4 charge," Lee said

"You want to breach the wall is what your thinking you got it," Austin said

The breach charge was set up quickly on the wall, I and my squadmates stay out of the blast radius of the charge.

"Ready?" We all nodded in response.

"BREACH!" Austin said and the C4 exploded into pieces, then the smoke dissipated and the wall survived the blast. "Fuck man! It didn't work!" I said to them, then they got up from the explosion and luckily they survived. "It's no use sir, even with a breach charge, it still survived," then a button was blinking on the control panel saying "Push for Emergency" and I pushed it. Nothing happens. Then some kind of energy was released from the control panel and was absorbed by my body, my squadmates saw it and my body was acting weird in a way and my hands were apparently blue, my mind was distorted and I fell down into the ground, then my squadmates came to help me, but my eyes were about to close.

Then darkness came...
