Green eyes shifted from TV to the next bed. A leap and the bed held two occupants. One firm hand stroked feverish skin. At the touch, the hazel eyes cracked open – wide with uncontrollable fear.
"Pi…pink!" A trembling hand pointed to the door.
"Cool it Sam," The voice was laced with patience and understanding.
"Gg-going to tt-ake me…" Weak fingers grasped the cooler hand.
"The pink panther didn't stand a chance." Cool hands cupped the hot forehead.
"Uhh…Dean?" Recognition finally returned.
"Yeah! Your big brother's here."
Hazel eyes gazed hazily before succumbing to sleep.
Fear - zero.
Trust - unlimited.
