Morning after Fog
The cold December breeze swept through the kingdom and over Sarah's body as if to hide her indecent state. Sarah's eyes fluttered open, barely being stirred by the breeze that had crept into her room so silently.
Sarah sat up in her new bed, for this morning was her first morning to be a married woman, married to her love, and married to the only man possible of loving her forever.
Sarah looked at the sleeping figure beside her; Jareth, the goblin king. Her fingers traced the side of his face, to his jaw, to his collar bone. She stared at his creamy bare chest. He looked at peace and content, the silk blanket covering his body from the waist down. Sarah lightly caressed his bare chest, for she did not want to wake him. She planted a light kiss on his forehead and reached for her black robe, which had been carelessly tossed to the floor the previous night. She put on the silk night-robe, closing her eyes and biting her bottom lip from the memory of last night; her wedding night.
Sarah walked onto the balcony, shivering furiously from the cold December air that surrounded her bare skin. She looked over her new kingdom, proud that she ruled it. Not all of it was hers, but she was the goblin queen. Fog covered everything as far as the eye could see. It was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen… Their labyrinth under fog, it was almost sad.
Sarah still couldn't believe she was finally Jareth's queen. It made her very happy. No, it made her ecstatic that she was finally wed to the only man she could ever possibly love.
Jareth made Sarah very happy, despite their feud over her brother only twelve years before this day.
Sarah smiled. She was his equal now, for he stood beside her, not above or below her. She was his queen, the woman he'd lay down next to every night for the rest of eternity. They both knew that, and that was what they wanted.
Sarah started to hum their Wedding Dance song. She thought the lyrics, smiling sweetly, wrapping her arms around herself and swaying to the music in her head.
There's such a fooled heart, beating so fast,
In search of new dreams, a love that will last within your heart,
I'll place the moon within your heart…
Suddenly, her humming ceased as two strong, warm, and masculine arms wrapped around her hips, swaying her and continuing to sing the song that was possessing her ever so sweetly.
"As the pain sweeps through, makes no sense for you,
Every thrill has gone, wasn't too much fun at all…
But I'll be there for you-oo-ooh… As the world falls down..."
Sarah turned around to face him, the man of her dreams. For he was cold, and she wasn't. His embrace enveloped her into a world of comfort and happiness she could not describe in words, only actions.
He kissed her forehead in affection, pulling her closer. The fog that lay over their kingdom made a romantic atmosphere in his opinion and he thought it was perfect, considering that today was their first day in the rest of their life together.
Sarah felt the same unspoken words of her husband. She kissed the goblin king with passion, letting her tongue slide around the walls of his mouth. She loved this man very much, and he loved her the same.
Jareth kissed back with a force that meant to say that he was fierce, but not to scare her. A low moan escaped both of their throats as the kiss was parted. They nuzzled noses, as if to make an Eskimo kiss.
Sarah sighed, very satisfied and happy with her choices in life. Right now, she was in the arms of Jareth the goblin king, who loved her more than life. They both knew that today was already a good start to their marriage, because they both wanted it.
Jareth picked his wife up and brought her back to bed. For now, they would rest in each other's arms. The fog would have to wait.
