Dear Readers,
Hello, this is ShinigamixGirl, a not very new writer but very new at publishing what I type. ;D This is my first Yu Yu Hakusho fanfiction so be nice please, no flames.
Disclaimer: Yu Yu Hakusho belongs to Yoshihiro Togashi, interesting name to pronounce isn't it? XD Title also wasn't made by me sadly, credit goes to Kurosakura-Chan.
Special thanks to Kurosakura-Chan, my manager and editor. You can all thank her for my proper grammar and updates. ;P
Start prologue transmission:
'How did it ever get to this?' Koenma thought sadly as he watched the Rekai Tentai fall completely and utterly apart.
/Flashbacks/
"Fuck off, Kuwabara! Stop following me!!" Yusukue was screaming furiously at Kuwabara, who had been following the former around.
"No, Uremeshi, you have to listen to what I say" Kuwabara insisted as he stood tall and confident with some hurt in his eyes.
"God damn you," Yusuke screamed getting violent, hitting, punching, and kicking Kuwabara, the latter not responding. Soon, Kuwabara was a bleeding mess. Once Yusuke realized what he had done, he dropped to his knees and gave dry sobs while mumbling apologies to his former best friend.
"Shuichi, what is wrong? Recently you have been acting so weird" Shiori questioned, concerned about the health of her son.
"Mother, I am fine, there is nothing wrong."
"Don't lie to me, Shuichi, I am your mother. I can tell something is wrong. Is something bothering you, dear? You know you can always come to your mother, right?"
"Yes Mother, I know I can talk to you about anything. Just drop it please, mother?" Kurama was defeated, his eyes held little life, the only life left for his beloved human mother, the one that made him weak in the eyes of Hiei. Shiori sighed, but generally gave up, she would question her son again later on, when he was in better spirits.
Hiei mowed down demons one after another as they all came at him at once, out for his blood. Hiei himself was covered in the blood of many demons he had killed just earlier and coming close to exhaustion. His eyes held exhaustion, hurt, pain, madness, and anger, all of which he took out on the demons he continued fighting. After fighting another round of hundred demons, his speed was dulling, as was his strength. They just kept coming at him and when it was finally over, he was completely exhausted. He sluggishly sheathed his beloved sword and ran as fast as he could, which wasn't fast, into a cavern only he knew about, and when it was deemed safe he fell into a deep comatose sleep.

Botan sobbed loudly in the background and Koenma sighed, going over to her. She was crying again for her friends who had fallen. "Why, Koenma," She asked between heaves and sobs, looking at him with pitiful and hurt eyes. "Why couldn't we stop them before it was too late"
End of transmission.
