Author's note: Hi this is my take on what would happen in the Aftermath to the episode "Darkest Plight" because I didn't like how they didn't show more of how hurt Leo was. Remember I don't own T.M.N.T but I wish I did.

Karai and April started taking Leo back to the Lair but were moving a little slow since Leo was in so much pain. Karai was really mad that Shredder hurt Leo and got away.

She really wanted to go after them, but she didn't want to leave April to take Leo home by herself. Out of all the turtles, she has felt a lot closer to Leo.

It's probably he was the first one that she met. Right now she just hoped that Leo would be okay and would be back on his feet soon.

With Raph, Casey, Splinter, Donnie and Mikey:

Splinter was brought up with Donnie and Mikey to Raph and Casey who were waiting for them. Splinter smiles at them and Raph goes and hugs Splinter. Splinter then notices something….

"Where is Leonardo, April and Miwa?" (Miwa is Karai for those of you that don't know)

The boys looked at each other and then Raph spoke up, "Leo, April and Karai went to the surface to lead Shredder and Tiger Claw away."

"I see. Let us go. We shall wait for them in our home. There Donatello would be able to look at my ankle."

They nodded and Splinter walked with Mikey and Donnie's help, while Raph and Casey made sure they weren't being followed.

Donnie had just taken care of his father's ankle and wrapped it up, when he heard a yell from the entrance of the Lair.

"Guys! Help Leo's hurt!" (April)

Everyone rushed (Splinter using crutches) to where April and Karai came in with an injured Leo.

"How the heck did this happen?!" (Raph)

"He took on Mutated Shredder alone." (April)

"Why didn't you two help at all?!" (Raph)

"I stopped him before he cracked Leo's shell." (Karia)

"Oh so you came in at the last second, aren't you such a big help!" (Raph)

"Raphael! That's enough, what's done is done. Now we need to get your brother in the Lab, so that Donatello could check his injures." (Splinter)

"Hai Sensei." (Raph)

In the Lab:

Leo was laying on the medical table, looking to be in a lot of pain. Donnie was looking at all of his injuries.

"He has some bruising on his upper arms, my guess is that it's from when Shredder tried to crack his shell open. It also looks like there's some cracks in his shell, that I'll need to fill so that they'll heal. Lastly there's a small chance of him having a concussion, due to some bruises on his head. Let's hope he doesn't go into a seizure or shock from his injuries." (Donnie)

"So dudettes, were you able to stop Shred-head?" (Mikey)

"No….him and Tiger Claw got away….April did stop a tank truck in mid-air, that he threw at us, and she threw it back at him. I managed to find a soft spot which was his heart, and got him distracted enough for Leo to get away from him." (Karai)

"Now that sounds awesome!" (Raph)

Before they speak about the fight anymore, they heard a *groan* coming from the medical bed that Leo was laying on. Leo had woken up and Donnie was able to ask him some questions to see if he was feeling any pain.

Once Donnie was able to get information from Leo, on how he was, Leo was able to go back to sleep and heel up.

He would have to heel for at least 6 weeks, but he'll be able to do it. He and his brothers are always able to pull through.
