Spell frowned at the boy sitting on her couch, in her office. Face buried into a pillow, sobbing his heart out. There was absolutely no way that was the young boy who had just walked in the door, cocky, rude and annoying five minutes ago. She walked silently over to the young man and laid a hand on his shoulder, "Ed..I.." She was cut off by the boy immediately clinging to her, only being 4'3 he wasn't tall enough to quite reach her shoulder so he rested his head in her chest. Spell sighed and placed her arms around his small frame, "Ed..what has you so upset?" She asked rubbing circles on his back. Hoping to calm the young boy down a little. But, alas no prevail.

It broke her heart to see Ed like this, sniveling..weak..helpless. When just a few minutes ago he had been brave, cocky and rude. It baffled her as to what could have caused him to start bawling. "Ed..please..honey talk to me…what's the matter?" She asked lifting him and sitting on the couch. The boy only grew in his wails as he sat in his caretakers lap, clinging, and crying. Spell frowned and continued to rub the boys back, and some what rock him back and fourth. "Shhh…It's alright ed..Don't worry." She sighed as he continued to cry. Spell quickly went through her mental notes in how to handle situations like this…humming! That was it. Spell rocked the young alchemist, hugging and humming to him. And eventually the boy calmed down and drifted into a light sleep.

Spell sighed and stood up with ed in her arms. She wasn't sure what had caused him to meltdown like he did. It could have been any number of things..Spell shrugged and looked at the small, sleeping boy in her arms. "I guess everyone needs to cry, once in awhile." She smiled wrapping him in a blanket and laying him back on the couch. "Night…Fullmetal.."
