Title: 4 Rules Kate Todd Could Have Made, And 1 She Did (because there's a word limit on titles, apparently- so blame the site for the poor grammar- I do)
Fandom: NCIS
Rating: T
Pairings: Gibbs/Tony
Summary: The NCIS gang is stuck in a crappy hotel in the middle of nowhere while investigating a murder. Here's four ways Special Agent Todd didn't find out about Gibbs and Tony's relationship… and one way she did. (Drabble fic)
A/N: Challenge fic for Laura. It's probably not exactly what you were expecting, but it sort of grew a mind (and a body) of its own. This is in drabble format; there are five drabbles (one per a chapter, to be published rather speedily).
Rule #1: Never Allow the Hotel to Put You in the Room Next to Gibbs and Tony
"Oh, God," Kate gasped, backing hastily out of the room. "Sorry, sorry!"
"Todd!" Gibbs bellowed angrily. Inside the room, she heard a brief whispered conference, before the door she had hurriedly pulled closed opened again to reveal a half-dressed Gibbs. "What was so important that you couldn't knock?" Behind Gibbs, Tony was pulling on a pair of pants.
Kate tried to wipe the image of her mentor and her close friend having sex out of her mind. "With all the noise I heard, I figured that someone was attacking you and Tony, sir."
Gibbs smirked just the tiniest bit while Tony flushed to the tips of his ears. "I see. Good night, Agent Todd." With that, her boss shut the door in her face. She stared at the door blankly for a few seconds, before whirling around and heading back to her room.
