Its short, I know but I wrote it in class today. It got stuck in my head and I had to write it. Enjoy!

Alice slowly walked down the wooded path following a trail of flower petals. There was a row of single red rose petals in a straight line leading her down a forest path. She knew it was the work of Jasper, but even she couldn't figure out why he was doing this. The day had no special significance, not for them or anyone they knew really. But she didn't question this for long and instead focused on trying to stay genuinely surprised for whatever Jasper had planned for her. She was excited; she loved it when he had secret surprises like this, seeing as it was almost impossible to surprise her. He often pulled her out onto the roof at night and she sat in his lap while they gazed up at the stars and into each others eyes. They did this almost every night and she loved it. It was time just for them and when they were on the roof they were the only ones in the world.
Finally the trail ended and Alice looked up to see dozens of candles lining the ground and low branches of the trees. She'd been staring at the ground the entire time focusing on the petals and her time with Jasper. She counted every single candle and smiled when she felt Jasper's arms encircle her and trap her between his arms and his chest.
"I thought I'd change it up a little tonight." Jasper whispered in her ear.
"And what a nice surprise too," Alice said with a sigh. Sometimes she thought it felt nice not to know what was going to happen, and this was one of those times.
"You have no idea how hard it was not to think about this all day, so you wouldn't see it." Jasper said quietly pulling Alice closer to him and bringing them both to sit against a tree.
"Well, you did a good job…so thank you." Alice said twisting in Jasper's lap to give him a small kiss.
"Surprise me more often." Alice said with a small laugh as she and Jasper relaxed and looked towards the stars.
Hope you liked :)
