Audacious Affection
Isabella took a deep breath before walking up to the gate of the Flynn-Fletcher backyard. Today she was planning on asking the boy of her dreams to the dance. She put a huge smile on her face before pushing it open and walking over to none other than Phineas Flynn.
"Hey Phineas! Whatcha doooin'?" She asked.
Phineas rose his head up, a slight blush forming on his cheeks. He was just thinking about asking her to the dance as well.
He smiled wide and said, "Oh, hey Isabella! I was just, uh... Thinking..."
She put her hands behind her back and tilted her head innocently, acting adorable to get his attention. "'Bout what?"
Phineas blushed a little deeper. "Oh, just uh... You know, stuff... It's not important."
The raven-haired girl giggled and rocked back and forth on her feet. "Oh, okay then."
They stood there in silence for a moment then Isabella broke it, "Uhhh... Phineas...?"
Phineas looked up at her, the blush finally drained from his cheeks. "Yeah?"
"Well.." Isabella stuttered, biting her lip nervously. "I uh... I was just wondering if... maybe you'd l-like to..."
Suddenly, Phineas' older sister, Candace, walked in and cutted Isabella off. "Phineas! What are you doing?"
Phineas sighed and looked up. "I'm not doing anything yet, Candace."
"You're plotting! I'm telling Mooooommmmm! MOOOOOM! Phineas is plotting!" She ran back inside the house.
Phineas just ignored it and looked back at Isabella. "What were you saying?"
"Would you-"
"MOM! SEE? SEE? He's plotting!" Candace dragged Linda out into the backyard.
Phineas sighed frustratingly. "Candace, I'm not plotting."
"Yes you are!"
"No, I'm not! I'm just trying to listen to what Isabella has to say..."
"Whatever Isabella wants to say can wait!"
Isabella frowned. "But I-"
"Mooom! He's plotting!"
Phineas groaned. "Candace!"
Candace crossed her arms. "Fine, but I got both my eyes on you." She finally walked out.
Linda looked at her son. "Sorry, Phineas. Candace can be a little crazy sometimes."
"I know, mom... I know..." Phineas sighed then his mother walked back into the house.
The triangle-headed boy looked back at Isabella. "What were you saying?"
Isabella felt herself get down. She sighed and looked at the ground. "Oh, it's... It's not important anymore..."
