"N-no! B-brother d-don't leave me!" I sob, clutching Bunny as I watch big brother Scotland walk away. My last brother walking away and leaving me.
"Brother!" I scream again but he just keeps walking, doesn't even pause. I watch, still crying, as his figure disappears over a hill when it really hits me.
He's gone. The only brother, only other person I had left is gone. The tears stop and I could swear my heart did also. I go numb and stare straight ahead, my emerald eyes focused on nothing and my grip on Bunny slowly slipping.
Suddenly, laughter floats up from over that hill and my heart starts again in time for it to break. Bunny kicks out of my arms and hops away as my knees give out from under me and I start breathing choppy while huge, engulfing sobs wrack my body.
They left me, they all left me. Why? Why? I can't be alone yet, no, I havn't done anything why am I alone? They were nice to me and I helped them I really- I choke on a sob as I realize something.
That's it. They found me and needed help. They said they were my brothers so I helped them. That's when they started leaving. That's why they started leaving. I was a tool. Nothing but an object they needed to get what they want. I exhausted my use is why they've left... I am no more to them until they need help once more. But there will be no help.
My hands are limp in my lap and my breathing has become steady while I've been thinking so I slowly stand. No.. There will be nothing here for them. They have thrown me away like am unlovable monster. Maybe that's what I am. A smile spreads across my features. Yet don't they know that monsters are the strongest when there's no hero?
I cover my mouth with my hand as I giggle. That giggle turns deeper in pitch but I don't notice because my body is filled with a thrilling electric feeling and I just can't stop chuckling. Whatever I'm laughing at- I've forgotten? - is just so bleeding funny I can't stand it and I go on and on until my sides ache and my lungs scream for air as the electric feeling reaches it's peak until, pop, it stops. When I remember to breath I open my eyes and find myself staring at my wrists while my hands grip my hair savagely.
I blink slowly as I bring my hands, large hands, down and see long, pale arms. I look further down and see the rest of my bare body and how far away from the forest foor I am. A grin envelopes my face as I recognize what's happened. I'm grown.
Looking around me I begin walking out of the woods, towards the sounds of a distant fishing market and pier. No, I'm not grown. I'm still growing.
Nonchalantly I produce my wand and replace my shrunken gown with the appropriate outfit (His pirate outfit of course!) before I reach the market. Marching between the crowded venders I head straight for the ship I know is waiting for me, the Revenge.
"Welcome aboard, Captain." My new Vice Admiral greets me.
"Thank you Sir Francis. Immediate orders are to set sail for Scotland, it's time to expand the Queens Empire." I brush past him, heading for my quarters as my own orders are shouted behind me until I throw the door shut, sealing away all sound.
The crew members pause and listen to the echo of the loud slam, a shiver running up their backs as they recognize the sound of Scotland's condemnation.
