A poem about a band who did really badly during their show. This was inspired by a recent show we "tried" to perform. ^_^

Our Horrible Performance

I'm going insane
The show hasn't started
And I think
The tuba behind me just farted
These yard lines are pathetic
And there is no grass
I swear you would think
This school would have class
Drum majors have not yet
Called us to attention
How odd it is to think
I would rather be in detention
Dear lord please save us
For we do not know our show
We look like bored sheep
Waiting for the grass to grow
The music begins
As the band starts to move
We're stumbling and tripping
We've obviously haven't improved
The saxophones run into low brass
On count twenty-nine
We're not in arch!
It's supposed to be two straight lines!
The flutes are wondering
Back field of course
As the clarinets are jazz running
Looking like a giant horse
The drums are off beat
The drum majors confused
And I think my trumpet
Just gave me a bruise
We reach the finale
The big ending
I believe the other band
Thinks we are offending
The show has stopped
And looks like a twenty-two-car wreck
I'm pretty sure the director
Is all red in the neck
I'm laughing out loud
At the horrible job we did
For our final set
Looks like a pregnant squid
And that was it
Our show was done
At least I can say
The audience was stunned.
