Happy ever after
Chun Li had never received her's.
It was a bad day for her. It had been raining all day. Not just a small drizzle, but a huge load of rain. She couldn't even get her paperwork done because of the noise.
There was a history of why she didn't like the rain. Most people just pass it off as she was scared of it, the reason she told everybody.
But nobody knew the real reason. The reason she always dreaded the rain.
-FlashBack-
"Hwoarang!" She yelled. Chun Li caught him sneaking away from whatever. She had something very important to tell him. Something she didn't know she would regret later on.
"What is it, Chun Li noona?" Chun Li slightly cringed at the word. She knew it meant older sister in Korean. She wanted to be more than an older sister to him.
She took in a deep breath and screamed at the top of her lungs, " Hwoarang, saranghaeyo!"
The male stood frozen for a few minutes before dragging the female somewhere private. The warmth of his hand made Chun Li's heart flutter. She kept her head low as she didn't want Hwoarang she was blushing.
"Chun Li," she knew it was serious. He had never used her name without the 'noona' if it wasn't serious.
"You're an amazing and beautiful woman," Chun Li braced herself for the rejection. "But I don't like you like that." Almost as if on cue, heavy rain started to pour down.
The Chinese woman choked on the air. Her tears threatened to spill out, slowly climbing and building up. Her breathing became very shaky and she could feel a lump form in the middle of her throat.
"It's okay!" She faked her happiness. Her bright smile didn't look faked at all though. "No need to worry!"
She turned her back towards him. Before any tears crept out, she ran away. Away from Hwoarang and the alley.
Her tears flew behind her. Her legs felt weak but she kept running. To nowhere. She had no idea where she was going.
She had somehow ended up at the Central Park. She sat down on a bench before breathing in and out. Not long after, her tears came out. She cried until night came.
-FlashBackEnd-
She couldn't believe she was still thinking about that. It was three years ago. The rain finally stopped when she looked out the window.
She could still get to work. She could take the night shift.
She reached the police station and said that she would take the night shift. The others thanked her and all went home.
After a few hours, a person came in with Hwoarang in tow. Chun Li nearly jumped out of her seat.
"What happened?" Her voice came out shaky. Like her legs three years ago.
"I saw him spray painting my neighbour's house." The other woman replied. Chun Li nodded and told the other woman she could go when Chun Li settled the small case.
"So, what's your name mister?"
"I'm pretty sure you already know, noona."
A/N: Wow! I never noticed how sucky this was. It seems like I can never find a way to make HwoarangChunLi happy. *sigh* At least they meet again, right?
