Chapter one: I wake up screaming, that's when I remember that today is the day of the Reaping. All of District 12 is getting ready to be on camera. The mayor most likely has people preparing the parcels with the extra food in them right now so that we all will look slightly healthier. There's a knock on the front door, I rush to answer it, it's my longtime best friend, Jade. He walks in and hands me the parcel from the mayor.
