This isn't happening. This isn't HAPPENING. THIS ISN'T HAPPENING! Ayame charged through the forest, tears streaming freely from her eyes. Her eyes were so blurred with tears that she didn't see the person standing in front of her, and went crashing into him, landing on top of him. "Hey, why don't you watch where-" His annoyed tone trailed off as he recognized the wolf demoness in front of him. "I-Inuyasha?" Inuyasha scooted close to her, noticing her tear-stained face, and his voice became filled with concern. "Hey, Ayame, are you okay?"

"...No."

Ayame sat beside Inuyasha in a nearby cave he'd located for them in order for Ayame to explain what had happened. "So, you want to tell me what's going on?" Ayame chewed on her bottom lip. "I don't want to...but seeing as it concerns you as well, I suppose I have to." Inuyasha got a bad feeling at her words.

Ayame took a deep, shaky breath, and began her story. "I was hunting in the forest when I scented Koga. Naturally, I went to investigate." Inuyasha nodded, and she continued. "I heard him moaning, and thought he was in pain." Inuyasha was starting to get a sinking feeling in his gut.

"But...when I came closer, I-I saw-I saw-" She began choking up. "I saw him mating with K-Kagome." Inuyasha's eyes narrowed, and he got up and punched a hole in the cave wall, furious that Koga had mated with Kagome. Just then, he heard Ayame crying softly, and he turned around. He'd almost forgotten how much Ayame cared for Koga, and his head starting pounding with anger again. Even Ayame, who was clingy when it came to Koga, didn't deserve to have seen her long-time crush with her rival.

Inuyasha knelt down beside her, and shifted uncomfortably. Before he knew it, Ayame had launched herself into his arms, sobbing uncontrollably into his chest.
