Okay, so this is officially my first fan fiction and I am so EXCITED!! I looooove reading and writing, and the fact that I can do this just makes me ecstatic!! Since this is my first one and all though, can you guys take it easy on me though? I mean, constructive criticism is welcome, but don't write hateful things to me. It hurts my feelings. (Sniffling)
So anyway, let's just start with the story!!
Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto…Yet! Muaahahahahaha!!
Chapter One
It was quiet in the house. Scary quiet. Every time I would wake to get ready for school, there would always be the sound of the tea kettle whistling downstairs and the sound of my mom rushing around the house, making sure everything was perfect for when we would sit down for breakfast, my mother, my father and I.
But today was different, and I knew the reason why. I still couldn't wrap my head around the concept that I would never see them again- that they were gone. I really couldn't believe it because...well- it was all my fault.
Flashback
They were laughing. My mother and father were laughing- hard I may add. We had just come back from my favorite restaurant for my 17th birthday, and we were sitting in front of the TV watching old sailor cartoons. All I could think about was how lame the whole day was, and that I wanted to go to sleep and rest for school the following day.
"Mom, Dad, can I be excused? I'm pretty tired right now," In other words, I just wanted to escape to my room, put on my headphones, and lose my self in the music. But no need to tell them all the gory details.
They both stopped their giggling and turned to look at me as if they did not remember I was there.
"Oh! I'm sorry sweetie, I was so caught up here, I didn't realize the time! Well, goodnight sweetheart!" My mom answered for the both of them, since my father had already turned back to the TV, looking as if he was about to burst in laughter.
"Okay... goodnight." It was useless though. My mother's gaze had fallen on the TV again, and her laughter echoed the whole room.
I turned around and went up the stairs, when I heard my mothers voice.
"Happy Birthday Sakura."
I felt a smile tug on my lips, and continued up the stairs.
Little did I know it would be the last time I would see both of them again.
