Mel jumped out of her car, grabbing her purse. She and Joe were going to the bakery downtown to look at wedding cakes.
"So, what types of cakes do you want, again?" Joe asked his future wife, gently slipping his hand into hers.
"Something good, but not fattening." Joe laughed and opened the door for Mel. She saw the salesclerk; a tall woman with brown locks and green eyes. She looked up from her magazine and smiled at the happy couple.
"Hi! Welcome to the Toledo Bakery. My name is Samantha." The woman said cheerfully. Joe smiled at her.
"We are here to look at wedding cakes." Mel said quickly, noticing Joe staring at a certain woman's chest.
"Oh!" Joe yelled sanpping out of his daze. "Right."
"Fine," Samantha answered. She walked down the aisle and showed Mel a book with delicious looking cakes.
"I think I'll just look around. Try not-" Mel nuged Joe in the stomach- "To be so friendly, honey." Joe flashed a fake smile and continued speaking with Samantha.
"So," Samantha began, "That woman is your fiance?"
"Yup. She is a funny one. I was married once before." Samantha nodded. "Yeah, it was with a woman named Tiffany."
"Oh. Do you love Tiffany as much as you love your current fiance?" Joe shook his head.
"I love Tiffany, but as a friend. I love Mel... so much I couldn't do anything without her." Joe smiled as he looked at Mel in the corner of the gigantic store; she was smiling wide as she pointed to a cake in the book. "That's my girl." Samantha laughed loudly, getting Mel's odd gaze.
"Joe! I found one! Look, It is vanilla and has little pink hearts on it!" Joe smiled at her.
"I see you have found a cake!" The salesclerk said happily. "Do you want it?" She was speaking to Joe.
"Yes. Whatever Mel wants I want." He answered lovingly. Mel smiled and kissed Joe on the cheek.
"I'll ring you up." Mel put back the magazine and dragged Joe in the corner of the store.
"Thank you! But, Longo, are you sure you want the cake? I-" Joe interrupted her with a kiss. Mel released.
"Is that...a yes?" Joe kissed her again.
"You got it." He whispered.
Mel and Joe got into the car and Mel put the keys in the ignition. She looked up at him.
"Joe, I just wanna say that I never realized how much I appreciate you. Without you...I don't know what I would do." Mel grabbed his face and gave him a kiss.
"Thank you. Same here." Joe said.
