Rose was struggling to hold on. She could feel her grip falling off the lever. She could hear the Doctor shouting at her to hold on with all her might. The Doctor was petrified, but still managed to find words. He was yelling, ROSE! HOLD ON!
Pete could sense there was something wrong. He told Jackie that he would be back and told her to stay put. He told her where he was going and what he was going to do. Mickey tried to talk him out of it, as he could get pulled into the void, but came to his senses, as he too had the feeling something was going wrong. Jackie could feel nothing but sadness. She let Pete go, as this could be the only chance to save her daughter.
Rose was brought into Pete's universe, crying, not out of being stuck and losing the doctor forever, but of pure fear. She was terrified that she would never be able to see anyone for the rest of her life. But Pete was there and he saved her. He got there at the right moment. Rose was sitting on the floor crying, but as it dawned on her, she slowly walked up to the wall and once she had reached the wall she started to bang on the wall with all her might. Jackie, Mickey, Pete and Jake had all jumped at this sight at first. They had all jumped out of their skins with terror as Rose was meant to be kind, gentle and adventurous, not this beast they saw in front of them.
Rose was crying heavily, letting her make-up slide down her face. Her mother was standing with Mickey and Pete watching as her daughter banged the wall yelling for the doctor to bring her back. Yet, all everyone could do was stand there and let Rose let go of all her emotions. Rose finally calmed down a little and just rest her head against the wall. She then, as if she felt his presence, whispered, Doctor?
The void closed as the Doctor wanderered up to the wall, to try and say goodbye to Rose. The doctor was standing at the wall feeling terrible and hurt, but no one was there to comfort him. At that moment, he wished that Jackie, of all people, would be there and slap him silly, so that he could awaken from this horrible nightmare. He wouldn't have felt this distraught, if Rose had stayed in the other universe when he told her to. He felt Rose there with him and so rest a hand on the wall. He slowly walked away towards the TARDIS. He was off to find a way to comunicate with Rose, one last time.
Rose walked up to her mum and hugged her so tight, she thought she would never let go. They finally parted as Rose calmed down, but just as she released her mother's grip, Rose continued balling her eyes out. when she had finally calmed down, everyone standing in the room, walked out of Torchwood tower and rode back to the mantion, in Petes black jeep.
