Kinda a random oneshot i thought up...idk if i'm even going to write something to go along with it...Enjoy!
It was late on the night before Christmas and everyone in mutant manor was asleep except for one. Rogue Darkholme was sitting on her favorite armchair in the original living room. Rogue sighed and wondered, for the thousandth time if her love would ever come home. Remy LeBeau, or Gambit as he was more commonly known, had left to go on a mission six months ago. Rogue had only talked to her fiancé once or twice and she missed him like crazy. Rogue started to cry again when she felt something kick her stomach. She looked down and smiled at the her baby-bump.
"Hi sugah," Rogue said, "Yah miss yahr daddih don't yah?" she received a few more kicks in response. Rogue then yawned and curled up into a more comfortable position.
"Well, maybe he'll come home for Christmas," She said, trying to convince herself more than anything else. The once-untouchable mutant thought about her fiancé and fell asleep at some point in those thoughts. Hours later, in the early hours of the morning, a noise was heard by the girl. She was startled awake, wondering who it could be at this unholy hour.
"Shh! Ya don't want ta wake the whole mansion, do ya?" a familiar Cajun voice hissed at another person.
"Sorry!" another familiar voice said, this one more boyish and had a slight Boston accent but it wasn't very noticeable. Rogue immediately sat up and walked towards Remy and Bobby's voices. She stood in the doorway to the main entrance of the mansion, watching them whisper-argue about Bobby being loud. Then a cold breeze fell over Rogue which made her shiver and make a small noise that caught the attention of both boys.
"Who's there?" Bobby asked and went into a fighting stance like Remy's. Rogue rolled her eyes and stepped toward them and the dim light of the moon.
"Cheri!" Remy said quietly as he saw her. Rogue rushed to him and threw her arms around her paramour. Rogue buried her head in Remy's shoulder and cried tears of happiness.
"Ya're home! Ya're really home!" the happy girl whispered.
"Ah think someone missed me," Remy said, amused.
"Two someones," Rogue corrected which made Remy tilt his head cutely in confusion.
"Who?" Remy said, he couldn't think of anyone. Rogue smirked and placed one of Remy's hand on her stomach. He could feel the faint thump thump of the baby's kicks. His unusual eyes widened in realization. "You're pregnant?"
"Yes," Rogue said as she giggled and nodded for emphases. Remy picked her up and twirled her around. Bobby, who had been there the whole time, tried to hush them.
"Guys! It's really late and everyone's asleep!" Bobby hissed
"Yeah! Like shut up!" Kitty smiled, always the valley girl. She along with others were standing in the foyer.
"Merry Christmas Remy," Storm smiled at the happy couple.
"It is Stormy, Ah got what Ah wished for," Remy leaned down and kissed his fiance.
