Azula Redemption With Child Original Character Story Request

I have an Azula Redemption story idea with a child original character. This idea came to me and I just decided to put it up in case someone wants to try it. Often it is said a child's innocence can soften cold hearts, I was thinking if Azula met a child on her wanderings post The Search years later and got a young traveling companion that that would make for an interesting story.

I have an Azula Redemption story request with a child original character. It is an idea that came into my head and if someone wants to write something like it and make it into their own, that is cool, if not then pay this no mind and move on. I am just putting the idea out in case someone wanted to take it and form it as their own.

I was giving it thought that many of the Azula redemption stories are the same, most are her getting forgiveness from the Gaang and joining the Gaang, spending time in an asylum and it is always the same generally.

I was thinking it would be interesting to see Azula slowly soften up to just one character only while retaining her trade mark personality and animosity to her brother and his friends. I would like to see a motherly or big sister Azula to but in a redemptive way. Like her slowly soften up, not right away.

If Azula, after she ran off after the Search, several years later or more, met a child who may mirror herself in someway for her to relate to. She could save a child from being killed and at the start end up with an unwanted traveling companion. I think it would be interesting to see Azula go on her own journeys/travel with that character and over time, develop a relationship with the original character. To everyone else she can be just as cold. I am thinking like how her redemption could come to be in a way by coming to care about another younger person. Like how Sesshomaru in Inuyasha came to care for Rin and was still just as cold to everyone else, that is an example.

Whether it would be a mother or big sister thing depends on Azula's age, she is about 17 in the Search. Creative freedom is up to you to fast forward to however old you want her to be.

So as I said, this is what I think would be a creative and interesting Azula redemptive story. It is different than the Azula joins the Gaang stories, different than the Azula comes out of the hospital and mellows out then becomes good. Even if she softens to this one character, she can still be just as badass, travel on her own and maintain much of her cold personality while having a soft spot.

I think Azula can love and that an innocent younger person who has no animosity towards her, who sees her in a blank slate and does not hate her like others do would cause her to soften up. If Azula was shown love, that would change her. She was never shown love.

By going on her own stand alone journeys she would not be joining the Gaang, in my opinion she is such an amazing character that she does not need to conform to the other main characters to be redeemed and that is my story idea.

If this does not interest anyone, that is no problem. I do not expect anyone to really do it, I just wanted to throw it out there because I more or less come up with ideas but do not really know how to write stories well. All I ask is please do not reply to tell me you do not want to do the idea, no reply is needed if that is the case. Anyway, just throwing an idea out there and maybe it will help someone else generate a story! Thanks for looking.
