It has been soooooo long since I have written anything so please be a little easy on me.

Pink and orange hues streaked the sky, settling across the vast horizon. The beauty of dusk won't deprive me of my sour mood. She was suppose to be here. I waited for hours. It was well beyond midnight before i could sense her sweet aroma. Feet trudging across the sand becomes closer and louder. She stood next to me, staring at the silver moon. Tears glimmered in the silver light. She bit her knuckle to hold back the sobs that were desperate to come. Her petite form shook violently as she released everything she was holding back.

She dropped to the ground, I spun my hand around her waist pulling her upwards before she landed on her side or face. She slipped a squeak before looking up at me. She buried her face into my chest, continuing to shake violently from the coldness and the fear that dwell inside. She laid her head against my chest crying her heart out. I gently ran my right hand through her quills softly unknotting them. I glide my thumb across her face smudging away make-up and salty tears. I held her chin with the tips of my fingers.

"Will you speak to me?", I asked. She reluctantly nodded her head. "We don't have to right now if you don't want to." She darted her eyes away from me. I grabbed her wrist and gently tugged her closer to the shore.

"It...it was Sonic." She could barely say his name. My entire face burned with rage and my ears flattened.

"What did he do this time?" I asked, trying to keep a straight face.

"He told me that no one would love me like he did, but he has to leave for a while. If I choose to move on, then he would respect my wish." My ears are burning from the inside out.

"He has the nerve to say that no one will love you like he did? What love did he show you, Rose?"
