He heard a loud scream from the bedroom where Madge was at.
They've been fighting about some silly thing he had already forgotten about and she walked out. Slamming the door behind her. She was a silent brooder, so the scream scared him. He rushed to the room and didn't even bother knocking. When he opened the door, a very distraught looking Madge greeted him.
"Madge, what's wrong?" he asked, rushing over her, his voice full of concern.
She was on the floor, clutching her chest and tears were running from her eyes. She shook her head in response and said, "Why does she always do this to me?"
"Do what, princess?" he said, worried, and as he helped her get on the bed he added, "Who are you talking about?"
"Her!" she cried, "I was just getting used to it and then she'll come back like this!"
Gale tried, really tried to understand what she said but it didn't make sense to him. Not one bit.
"Do you know how much I was praying and hoping? And now, this!" she continued, sobbing, "I just can't."
"What are you talking about, Madge?" he said, exasperated, "Help me here, princess, I can't stand seeing you like this."
"It's her fault, Gale!"
"Who's fault?" he asked, bemused, "Is there another woman you're jealous of? Because, I'll tell you again and again until forever that you have nothing to be jealous of, it's I love, princess."
She looked at him, a soft smile on her lips, her face drenched in fresh tears, and said, "I love you, too."
"Then why are you crying?"
And then she resumed her sobbing, "My heart is going to explode! And it's her fault!" She gestured at the desk in front of them. There's no one there, obviously. But the computer's on.
Was there crazy women emailing her again?
He sat on the chair in front of the table and started looking for what had made his wife cry. Gale didn't find anything that could have. He looked back at his princess, "There's nothing in here, just some author announcing something about a movie in the making."
The crying started again.
"Oh my god! Oh my god!" she cried, "I just can't process this, Gale! I think I'm going to die!"
"Really, Madge, what's wrong?"
"There's gonna be a spin-off movie based on another book and she's going to screenwrite it!" she screamed, "Don't you know how that makes me feel, huh? Do you?!"
Gale stared at his crazed wife and stupidly replied, "I really don't, princess."
"Argh! This is the best thing that happened this year for me," she yelled at him, getting up from the bed, "I'm going to be in the best mood, but you just ruined it!"
She was going to walked out again but he grabbed her arm to stop her, "What? I thought us getting married was the best thing that happened this year!?"
"Well, right now it isn't," she glared at him, pulled her arm free, and stomped out of the room.
Gale looked at the door, still shock at her outburst, then back at the computer and glared at it.
"Madge's right," he said as he pushed the off button of the monitor.
It's her fault.
