She's such a lovely girl, blooming and ripening at an encouraging rate. It only makes her unreasonable recalcitrance even more frustrating.

"I do not believe, Orihime-chan, that I am being at all unreasonable." Aizen casts a gaze full of false warmth and a pleasant smile at the young girl, who wilts, always wilts, though her eyes never leave him the way a hunted animal would watch its predator.

If she thinks he looks at her like prey, Aizen thinks he can find it in his heart to accommodate her.

The girl stands in the corner of the room, back against the wall with her fingers twiddling, as ever, at her sleeve cuff. It's a nervous tic, Aizen notes clinically; Orihime ought to have been taught not to twitch as a child. Pity; it will have to just be one of the things he include in her education.

Still smiling, Aizen takes steps towards her. "I honestly can not understand why you insist on this ridiculous disobedience." A slightly resentful gleam comes into wide brown eyes, and he laughs softly. "After all, you came to us, did you not?"

Orihime doesn't answer. This silence is all she can do to bolster her courage; that will have to be torn down too.

It's all so horribly inappropriate; Orihime unconsciously perpetuates chaos and ignorance. She's a mess, but Aizen thinks he can mould her, if he gives the task enough care. Ulquiorra is too vague, too reluctant to enforce his own edicts. He has a firmer hand than the Cuarto Espada.

A long lock of auburn hair goes into his hand, and he holds it up to his nose, ignoring the way her flesh seems to crawl. "So, Orihime-chan, I can see that you will simply have to be taught obedience."

His smile is like that of an alligator welcoming little fish into its jaws.

And Orihime watches in trepidation and stark terror as Aizen blocks out the light behind him.
