The regular talking of Ouran Academy was only a mere murmur for the day. It was a rather peaceful time of day, with the sun shining brightly,and the soft cool breeze.

Two set of girls were quietly muttering to each other.

The first girl stood at 5'5, with wavy icy blond hair with bangs that almost covered her narrowed cat-like electric blue eyes. The other girl next to the icy blond, was only a inch shorter with medium long curly natural white/silver hair and dark brown eyes.

"Well this is my class." The icy blond said, her voice a sorta mischievous monotone, looking up at the sign above that read, 2A.

"But I don't you to go Ri-Ri~!" The silver head whined, stomping her feet.

The other girl, 'Ri-Ri' glared her piercing eyes freezing the silver head in mid-stomp. "Listen here Layla, your class is 1A, so deal with that you're a year younger." The icy blond retorted smoothly before sliding the sliding the door open and entered the classroom, leaving Layla stunned.

Layla shivered. 'She reminds me of Medusa...'

The class of 2A turned away from their talking to see the icy blond.

"Class." The teacher/sensei barked loudly, "This is Rina Ame, our new transfer student from America. Treat her well."

"It's a pleasure to meet you." Rina's icy voice sent shivered down the class's backs. There was a silence before...

The class erupted in squeals, "KYAH! SHE'S THE ICE QUEEN!"

-1A With Layla-

Layla muttered lowly to herself as she stormed her way to her classroom, 1A. She sighed and stopped, looking up at the sign.

"Well here I am." Was murmured before the classroom door was slide open. "How lovely for you to join us ." The sensei muttered sarcastically.

"Gomenasai! You see I was walking my friend to her class." Layla bowed and muttered it quickly only for it to sound gibberish. The sensei pitched the bridge of his nose before replying, "Very well, would you care to introduce yourself?"

Layla scratched her head. "Er okay~? Um, I'm Layla Williams~ I'm from America and wish you all treat me well~!" She ended that with a charming smile that made everyone smiled back at her.

-Later On-

"Did everyone treat you well?" Rina had asked Layla during lunch outside.

"Yuppie~! I sit next to this boy named Haruhi~!" Layla answered stuffing food into her mouth. Rina rolled her eyes and tucked a piece of stray blond hair behind her ear.

"How about you Ri-Ri~?" It was Layla's turn to asked, she was rather curious. "Nothing special." The icy blond replied smirking slightly. Of course Layla noticed, they were best friends for ages!

"You didn't use that 'act' did you?" Layla questioned, putting air quotes around act. "If so?" Rina asked sipping her Earl Grey Tea, a full blown smirk on her face.

"Rina! You're not supposed to use that act! Remember the last time?" The last sentence caused a dark scowl to appear on Rina's face. She slammed down her teacup, spilling some of her tea, dusted off her jeans, and standing up turning away.

"I could care less." She snarled before disappearing into the school's garden.

Layla stared sadly where the girl disappeared to.

"Aww~! Cheer up~!" A familiar voice shouted. Layla turned to meet glinting eyes.
