So, it took Kol dying for me to realize what a prominent character he was. Kol's time on TVD was too short, and he'll be severely missed. The saying "you don't know what you have until it's gone" was very accurate for me. It never hit me how much I loved Kol until Jeremy shoved a stake through his undead heart, and in saying that, here's another one shot ramble…
There's a line that has to be drawn somewhere.
Unfortunately, that exact mark hasn't quite been determined yet.
As she sat at the fountain's edge, watching people play there, it was obvious that she wasn't human, which was good because they were not used as a romantic fling, but instead as fresh food.
Needless to say, she was gorgeous, and of my bloodline. I could tell, or maybe I was just losing it. That was weird. In a way, I could simply end her life without laying a hand on her. She was in my control, and she doesn't even know I've been watching her.
Like I said, I wasn't sure where that special line would be drawn yet.
She didn't burn, but it was obvious because the lapis lazuli stone in her belly button ring shone with great intensity. That seemed to be an odd place to wear it, but it also seemed smart. If she hadn't been wearing a shirt that exposed her stomach, it wouldn't have been noticed.
Her hair was dark—beautifully dark. I'd say the equivalent of black. Her name was Bonnie—old name for a classy woman, just like Kol, which is spelled "Cole" in modern day. I'd met her a whole one time on the street. Obviously there was a reason she was here in this supernatural boomtown, but I didn't care the reason. All I knew is that she'd be mine, if only for a night.
That line needed to be drawn quickly before I think that this stalking is actually normal.
Before I knew what I was doing, my feet were taking me to her direction, and I was in no mood to stop.
"Hello, Bonnie," I said when I reached her.
"Hello," she replied. "Kol is your name, right?"
"Yes," I smiled. "I know the stone at your navel is lapis lazuli, so if I may ask, did you know you're a descendant through my bloodline?"
"Really?" she said casually, as if we weren't having a supernatural conversation in public. "That's interesting since I can still practice magic. I just thought it was a cute belly ring."
"I'm wrong?" I said, mostly to myself. "I'm never wrong."
"There must be something in the water," she smiled devilishly as she pulled a vervain sprout from her pocket.
Being wrong is where I draw the line, and I'd add an extra line for being attracted to an insane witch.
I don't know what that was. It's 1am and I can't sleep. If I dream a good story, I'll write it. Goodnight, readers.
