I came up with this after reading 'A Hero' by Celebony, which made me realize a few things. It's only getting published now coz reasons. I've no idea how to put the words on paper, so it's really short. Also, the canon quotes are Rowling's property; I own nothing.

NO child should feel themselves ceasing to exist would make the world happy. It's better continuing to be a coward & therefore survive.

"Leave him alone," Lily repeated. She was looking at James with every sign of great dislike. "What's he done to you?"
"Well," said James, appearing to deliberate the point, "it's more the fact that he exists, if you know what I mean…"

A teenaged boy with sandy brown hair was standing on the roof of Astronomy Tower, a single word echoing in his head: Exists.

Snape deserves to be hated and tortured for no other reason than because he exists.

"MONSTER!" The screamed word went through his mind over and over, mixing with the first one.

"You think you're funny," she said coldly. "But you're just an arrogant, bullying toerag, Potter. Leave him alone."
"I will if you go out with me, Evans," said James quickly. "Go on… Go out with me, and I'll never lay a wand on old Snivelly again."
There was another flash of light, and Snape was once again hanging upside down in the air. "Who wants to see me take off Snivelly's pants?"

"I don't want another letter from Professor McGonagall that you've gotten into another fight, Remus. Do you have any idea how much Professor Dumbledore is risking by allowing you to attend?"

Conditions. Do as they say and you won't get harmed.

"You have nothing to fear, my boy. Mr Snape is sworn to secrecy."

"C'mon, Moony! It was just a prank!"

A joke. Another human being dying or WORSE is meaningless to them.

Light forest green eyes dull from despair took in the sight before him.

I shouldn't be here. I've no right, I'm dangerous… WHY did I think coming to Hogwarts was a good idea?!

He took a long sip from a vial labelled 'Draught of Living Death' and stepped forward, thinking for the final time:

…No more. I won't bother anybody ever again.
