Jack wakes up next to Allison and has some thoughts about life with her.

Jack woke up and stretched. He looked down at Allison still asleep next to him. He still couldn't believe that after four years, she was actually his. They were finally together. He'd been in love with her for a very long time, almost since the day they met.
He'd had to watch her and Stark grow closer and lost her to him. Then there was Stark's memory he had to compete with, especially after she found out that she was pregnant with Jenna. Then she had Jenna to take care of and he was kind of with Tess.
He wondered, as he watched her sleep, if it weren't for the time travel and alternate time line, would they be together now? He finally kissed her in 1947 and his jealousy of Grant finally made him make his first move. If not for Grant, would they be here in bed together right now? Would she have taken the next step with him?
He hated to admit it and he never would say it out loud. He owed his relationship with Allison to Grant. Even though it left a bad taste in his mouth, he was thankful to Charles Grant. Thank God Grant had left Eureka yesterday. He never had to thank him in person now.
He caressed Allison's cheek and kissed her head as he got out of bed to go and check on Jenna. Since he'd started spending nights here with Allison, he'd helped take care of Jenna some mornings. She loved it when he helped out with the kids, and he loved helping her. It almost felt like family.
He loved feeling like part of their family and wanted to make it official and permanent. He was afraid he was moving too fast, but Jo's experience with Zane has taught him that life can change without a warning. He didn't want to scare Allison away, but he didn't want to take the chance of losing her either.
Jenna was still asleep, so he went back to bed. He decided, as he got back into bed, that he would ask Allison to marry him soon. Maybe he could buy her a ring for Christmas and pop the question then. He'd ask Henry for his advice.
He snuggled up with Allison and fell back to sleep with thoughts about proposing to her. He loved her with his whole heart and wanted to be with her for the rest of their lives. He wanted to be a father to Jenna and Kevin, and he wanted to be Allison's husband and partner. He fell asleep with her in his arms.
