Ryu's POV:

Damn, life is hard. Seeing Yoshida's heart break over my brother getting married…hurts.

Agh!I just want to give up on girls!

I only need baseball. I only need baseball.

"Ryu?"

Kazehaya suddenly appeared right next to me. I flinched, which is very uncharacteristic of me.

"What's wrong?"

Yoshida and the other girls came in my peripheral vision and Shouta glance as well. He then looked at me with sorrowful eyes.

"Oh." He said.

"Yeah." I replied.

He patted me sympathetically on the back and went to greet Sawako.

Stupid lovebirds.

Lunch was the only time I could relax. I could eat and sleep, but…I can't calm down enough to sleep.

"Ryu?" I forgot that Shouta always joins me at lunch.

"Yeah?"

"Do you want to come to my place tonight?"

I was a bit surprised, but we all know he's a sweet heart. He probably wants to cheer me up.

"Sure." I paused before adding, "Thank you, Shouta ."

I smiled, but I suppose he saw though it.

"Ryu!" He yelled and jumped on top of me.

"You're so strong! I love you for that! Ryu!" He cried while hugging me on the ground.

"You should follow your heart. What does it tell you to do?" He barely managed through the tears.

I put my hands on his shoulders and pushed him so I could face him. She ruined me. She fell for my brother a long time ago, I know. But! I tried so hard to make her fall for me.

My mind's gone blank.

Shouta blinked down at me, the last few tears rolling down his face. My hand slid to his nech and I pulled him even closer.

Our lips touched and I could feel him start to moan. His soft lips are my escape. He's always been there for me. He's the one thing I couldn't bare losing!

I slipped my tongue inside and I could feel him jolt. Our tongues collided and he entangled his tongue with mine.

He began grabbing my hair as we kissed.

The bell rang and I gave one last swirl. I sighed. Damn, he's good.

We sat up straight, both too stunned to speak.

"Sorry, Shouta…That was…" I started to explain, but he silenced me.

"You jerk! You can't kiss me like that and apologize! I won't forgive you until you explain."

"You were always there for me and I can't stand the thought of losing you."

"That's a pretty strange way to get a friend to stay." He said grumpily.

"Would you be my boyfriend then?"

Shouta sat still, completely surprised by Ryu's courage.

"Only if you can prove me one thing…"

"What is that?"

"Prove to me that you love me and not that you're substituting me for her." He said sweetly.

"Sure." I smiled and kissed him again.

He's getting even better at this.

We looked up to see the three girls staring at us with shocked horrified faces.
