Losing love I guess I'd lost

Well if that's love

It comes at much too high a cost

As that line played out of the speakers of her CD player, Martha Jones started thinking for the millionth time of The Doctor. She had thought she had made the right choice when she left him to complete her training to become a doctor, but lately she wasn't so sure. She loved him. But he didn't feel the same. She would see it in his eyes when they were traveling. He would look at her but really he would see his other companion, Rose. Rose was the woman he loved.

And if I'm flying solo

At least I'm flying free

She smiled. A sad smile, but a smile. She remembered The Doctor saying Rose was lost, and she realized that she hoped he found her. She was happy that The Doctor had someone to believe in. She would still love him. And he would love Rose. And from what The Doctor had told her, Rose would love him too. And Martha was happy. She had made the right choice to leave The Doctor.
