Lookin' At Life Through Sad Eyes

Author's Notes: I don't own Liberty's Kids. This is from the point of view from the guy who got tar-ed and feather-ed in "United We Stand" (episode 3).

"This is James," Moses says. "The guy I told you about earlier. Can he ask you a few questions?"

"Yes?" I put my head up as far as I can.

I can see a tear in his eye as he says, "Is there anything I can do?"

I nod 'no' slowly. It hurts just to do simple things now like nodding and moving around. It's like the pain never ends. Physically or emotionally.

I see in James's eyes guilt. It says 'I'm sorry' but I can also tell he just wants to leave. I don't blame him.

I can't keep my eyes open any longer. I slowly and painfully close them and lay down, trying to hold back more tears. It doesn't work though. What did I even do to deserve all this?

Silently, I hear Moses and James leave, no more words left to say.

End Notes: What did you think? Should I write more Liberty's Kids? Was it too dramatic? :)
