"Could you hurry it up there Sidekick," Oliver not so quietly whispered while checking the hallway, "I don't see anyone yet but the sooner we scram the better." He didn't understand what was so hard about downloading a few images.
Instead of responding with a snide comment, Chloe just stuck her hand in the air in a gesture that told him to be patient and wait. The last picture was almost done downloading.
With these pictures they would be able to find the largest stockpile of kryptonite that didn't already belong to Queen Industries or its more off the books subsidiaries.
"Okay let's get out of here," she said pulling the drive out and moving to join Oliver by the door. Hearing the sound of footsteps advancing towards them down the hall, she knew that there was no way they were going to be able to leave the building they came in.
Heading the opposite way of the guards was the only option now. "Ollie we must have triggered a silent alarm when we were in the server room."
Oliver had to think quickly if he wanted to get Chloe out of the building safely. He should have stuck with his argument that she didn't need to come on this mission. It was his responsibility to look out for her and instead he let her get into a dangerous situation.
Pulling her to a stop before the next hallway Oliver finally saw a way out. Lifting the handle to a hinged cover on the wall he motioned for her to get in.
"No. Oliver are you crazy? There's no way I'm going down there."
"Don't give me that look Chloe we have to. Just for once do something without fighting me."
Seeing her arms crossed in defiance Oliver grabbed her with one arm and together they went down the long metal chute only to get dumped out in the alley in a large garbage bin.
"See I can be resourceful sometimes," Oliver smirked to himself.
Slowly Chloe climbed out of the trash pulling bits of food and cardboard off of her. "Don't count on me thanking you for this Arrow. It's going to take at least ten showers just for me to get rid of the smell. This information better be worth it."
"Well Sidekick, I think I can help definitely help with some of that and take part in mission get banana peals out of Watchtower's hair. We'll have you clean in no time."
