(p.s I'm normally a Twilight writer so this is hard for me, but stick with it, I'll get better I promise)

She could feel how the cold wind blew through her thin shirt, how it brushed her dark hair away from her face, she wished she could shiver and feel the cold air, but her body had gone numb, a different kind of numb to try and avoid the inevitable pain. Leslie sat on the same building she had so many times, sometimes with Rianne and then the time she remembered most clearly, almost jumping off the window, desperate for some emotion, any emotion, something other than bliss. She smiled a sad smile, although she didn't miss the faery world she missed the interaction, the drama it brought with it, a seducing shimmer that coated everything faery. She slid her feet back into the loft and closed the window, savoring the feeling of being alone. She had everything she always thought she needed now, but she still knew it wasn't enough, she needed an equal balance of together and alone, like a great story has life and death, darkness and light, too much and it blinds everyone. Or they fall into darkness, she thought forebodingly. She looked at her watch, knowing she should leave now, but not moving toward the ladder. She wanted to stay here, to live in her memories, but just like she had to with everything else, she moved on. "I survived, I'll keep surviving, and that's what matters." She whispered, a long-ago romance whispered its secrets in her ear as she walked away. She knew he was still here, she knew he watched over her, like an angel, she thought. "Goodbye my angel, we'll survive and come together again, I promise." She let that linger, waiting for some sign that he really was here, but there was nothing. She smiled, the mysterious angel leaves without a goodbye.

Niall watched her, knowing she wanted some sign of his presence, but he couldn't let her know, it would hurt him. So he watched her walk away, hurting even more on the inside. Goodbye my mysterious angel, I love you. He thought.
