He burned for her.
He burned for her eyes- those emerald green eyes- every time he was near her.
He wanted to hold her constantly, to feel her warm, soft arms wrap around him in a tight embrace.
He wanted to love her.
But he couldn't.
/+/+/
It was unfair, oh God, it was so unfair.
She would have been his, had life decided to change paths.
She would have walked down and seen what he had made, what he had created, what he had loved for her.
But instead she saw him.
And he was forgotten.
/+/+/
Oh, how he wanted to rage at him.
Spill out all his fury and spite in a gaseous cloud of hate.
How he wanted to...to...to just hit him.
To punch him.
For who could ever want to pain her, who could ever want to play with her emotions, love her and still hurt her?
Not he.
And that was what hurt him the most.
/+/+/
It was all over now, all gone.
They were back to what they were and he was madly hers once again.
And he, poor, forgotten him, was still alone.
Alone forever.
/+/+/
The cloud of white that she was dressed in only made her more beautiful.
She glowed.
He beamed.
He died.
/+/+/
The agony that was wrenched from his chest was worse than he could ever have imagined.
Nothing, nothing, could have prepared him for this.
He wanted to cry, to scream, to writhe in his utter torture until it all stopped, until it all went away and she came back.
But she was gone.
And only her son lived on.

"Your mother was an extraordinary woman, Harry." Sirius said, the light of nostalgia and something else entering his eyes.
"Really?" Harry said, looking at him.
"Yes. Oh yes, she was extraordinary."
