Flowers

Kagome and Kikio Higurashi woke up at the same time on their eighteenth birthday. They were both on different sides of the forest but were thinking of the other. Kagome got up quietly and made her way to hers and Kikio's special spot. It's where they went every day to see each other. When she got there she saw Kikio standing with Sesshomaru.

"Hey Kikio." called Kagome happily.

"Hey Kagome." Kikio relpied.

"Happy birthday." they chorused.

"Happy birthday you two." said Sesshomaru.

"Thanks." relpied Kagome.

"I've gotta go." announced Kikio.

"Bye." said Kagome.

After Kikio left Sesshomaru pulled something out from behind his back.

"Here Kagome." he said handing it to the ravenette.

It was a beautiful pale blue flower.

"Thank you Sesshomaru. It's very beautiful." Kagome said awed.

Sesshomaru had been giving her a different flower everyday for the past three years since she had gotten there.

"You're welcome." Sesshomaru replied.

"Why do you give me a flower everyday?" questioned Kagome.

"I have to go. Goodbye." Sesshomaru said evasively walking away.

Kagome walked back to camp. When she got there she grabbed her bookbag and grabbed the book that she kept all the flowers pressed in. Then she grabbed her weapons and went for a walk. While she was walking somebody grabbed her from behind.

"Let go of me!" shouted Kagome.

The person didn't listen. Instead they took her to a cave. They set her down when they got inside of the cave.

"Sesshomaru." said Kagome after she turned around.

"Hey Kagome." said Sesshomaru.

"Why are we here?" asked Kagome.

"You asked me earlier why I gave you a flower everyday. Demons give their potential mates courting gifts everyday that they see them. I gave you a flower because I want you to be my mate and I was courting you." Sesshomaru explained.

Kagome was speechless for a moment before she threw her arms around Sesshomaru.

"Of course I'll be your mate Sesshomaru. I love you." the ravenette said happily.

"I love you too." the demon told his mate-to-be.
