A Dog's Day
I did this fanfic in Resource Skills class as a assignment. We had to write a short story on an animal being loyal to its owner and I insteatly thought of Kiba and Akamaru. I added more to this story to liven it up a little. Hope Team 8 fans will like this fanfic.
I tried to keep the characters in character but I don't think I did a very good job at it, Sorry.

A Dog's Day
Team Eight was sitting by a huge tree after a long day of training. Kurenai watched her team relax. Shino was also watching his teammates. He liked to watch them play certain games and preferred not to participate in one of Kiba's outrageous games. He found it was much better to watch. The game Kiba and Hinata were playing was a game of fetch with Akamaru, with one of Akamaru's chew toys. Among the games Kiba played with his dog, fetch happen to be one of Shino's favorite. Although Shino wouldn't play along with his friend, it still didn't mean Shino couldn't like the game. The main reason he liked the game was the fact that Kiba would sometimes go after the toy himself if his dog couldn't and return with the thing in his mouth (clean of dog saliva hopefully). It was cause of that Shino or even Hinata, if she wanted to would tease Kiba about it. The game was indeed an amusing one to the bug ninja. Kiba and Hinata would take turns throwing the pup's favorite chew toy around the training area. They enjoyed watching the hyper puppy run around looking for it while whining. Once his beloved chew toy was found the young dog would bring it back to either his owner or Hinata.
Once Kiba had threw it so far off into the bushes, it took Akamaru hours to attempt to find it. After a while of searching for it with no prevail, the pup gave up and returned to hi owner. Kiba stared at his dog and signed.
"Go on Akamaru, fetch." he said to his dog.
Akamaru gave out a happy bark and ran back into the bushes to retrieve the item. After a few hours the dog returned with the searched item. Instead of returning back to his owner or Hinata, Akamaru ran over to Shino, who was leaning against the tree and was nearly half asleep. As much as he liked his teammates playing that game Shino just couldn't help but to fall asleep where he was. Since he was used to the peaceful environment of the forest and being tired from the hard day of training he felt a little tired. He also knew that if it was getting late or a enemy ninja was attacking Kiba or Kurenai would wake him. Well that was until Akamaru decided to wake him. The dog looked up at the bug ninja and saw that he was half asleep. Akamaru dropped the item on the ground and gave a loud bark to wake up the half asleep Shino. Shino, slightly startled by the dog, gave a small sigh.
"Aw come on Shino." Kiba whined, "Throw it, Akamaru want to play fetch with you, and you should at least get off your lazy ass and join us, bug brain."
Shino annoyed at Kiba's last comment gave a short sigh before throwing the toy toreward Kiba and said. "Go fetch, canine."
With that being said Akamaru ran over to Kiba and tackled his owner to the ground. Hinata began to giggle at this and even Shino found this amusing. Using the high collar of his jacket Shino began to snicker behind it. They continued the game until nightfall. It was then they parted ways and came to their homes tired but happy, cause of the interesting day they had.
