A/N: It's conversation fic (yes, again) and it does have a point or it did have a point, but somewhere down the line I lost the way to the point I was trying to make.

Pairing: N/S

Getting things straight

"You sure you want to do this?"

The crazy thing was that he didn't dare to look at her. To be honest he hadn't really looked at her for a while now. Scared he would find something he wouldn't like in her eyes, scared to death.

She was rocking backwards and forwards on a chair that wasn't designed for that purpose, but he wasn't going to comment on it, because he had told her she would fall a dozen times and she had told him the same dozen of times she would be okay since he was right there to catch her if she would fall.

He liked that, he liked the way she depended on him to be there.

"Yes."

She looked straight at him now and he glanced at her for a second, noticing "a let's tackle this situation" look on her face.

"Here?"

He was doubtful they should talk about it in the lab, but she had some reason she wanted to do it there. Truth be told it had sounded logical the way she had put it, but he couldn't quite remember what her reasoning had been.

"Right now?"

Landing with a loud thud, she turned away from him for a second.

Sighing deeply

"It has to be done."

He couldn't argue with her over that. There were millions of other things to argue about, but this wasn't one of them.

"So, you want to set some rules."

"No."

She had to give him more than that. One syllable answers weren't getting them anywhere and they were driving him crazy. She was driving him crazy. In more than one way.

"No rules?"

"No rules."

Feeling relieved and a little more brave, he reached over to touch her face, gently cupping her cheek before dipping down and pressing his lips softly against hers.

"Okay, just one rule." She said after they broke apart.
