I thought you were cute,
Before all those girls fell for you.
I thought your jokes were funny,
Before you laughed at them yourself.
I liked you hair,
Before it was curly and long.
I saw you change,
I saw you grow,
Into who you are now.
I was the one who,
heard about all of the crushes,
and heartbreaks.
The one who told you not to give up,
on love.
Who told you to dump her,
when she cheated on you.
Who introduced you to my best friend,
that you fell for.
But I picked up the pieces,
and told you, you were meant to be.
In the hopes that one day,
you would always be, right beside me.
