Discaimer- I do not own Furuba or its charactors

The door was open a crack and the bright light of the kitchen spilled through into the dark hallway where a small boy stood hidden in the shadows. Voices drifted out of the light. The voices made his heart ache and he could feel hot pinpricks behind his eyes but he didn't cry. Later that night Megumi picked up a book. The book was thick and the cover was faded black leather. Inside the pages were thick and yellowing. His large dark eyes took in the inked letters and he slowly closed the book tucking it under his arm. He suddenly knew how to help make things better. He found his sister out on the porch and showed her the book. For some reason it seemed to make her sad and as the last rays of light from the dying sun spread out over the porch lengthening shadows and giving the world an unearthly depth She enveloped him in a tight embrace the book pressed between them and her long black hair tickling his face. They stood that way for what seemed like hours till the last light in the sky was gone and the porch lights had come on before they broke apart and wordlessly and went their separate ways a new understanding seemed to have formed between them that did not require words.

AN- and that was how the telepathic bond was formed between Megumi and Hanajima, at least acording to me. Yes it's short. No there will be no more. But isnt it sweet in it's shortness? This is my favorite scene from the Manga. I just loved the art work and seeing little Hanajima and littler Megumi. And I thought to myself what better way to pay tribute to art then to put it into words?
