[A/N] I'll keep this note short and sweet. Inspired by one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard, and a twist on a situation where my best friend was playing this for me on piano. Let's not make this weird, I made it romantic for Rose/10 purposes only, A-thank-you. Reviews are encouraged! :)

Allons-y!

Rose walked out of her room, hearing soft piano music coming from somewhere down the hall. She recognised the music as a piece from a game she and the Doctor had recently played on a trip to Earth, 2012. Finding the door the music from coming from, she opened it and entered the room.

The Doctor was seated at a piano, playing from a book he must have bought while they were there. Coming up behind him, she cleared her throat to get his attention. He immediately stopped playing and turned to look at her.

"Oh, um, I was just..."

"Doctor, please, it was beautiful. Don't stop playing just because I'm here." She sat beside him on the bench as he flipped the page, and began a new song. "Is this from that game we played on Earth? What was it... Mass something or other?"

"Mass effect 3. I loved the music, so I couldn't resist getting this" He replied, concentrating on the sheet music before him. "I thought you might like this one." He added.

Rose looked at the title of the music he seemed so intent on playing with absolute perfection. "I Was Lost Without You..." She murmured to herself.

The Doctor's cheeks went pink as he heard her, but he continued to play, reaching an increase in the tempo of the song. Rose could do nothing but stare as he reached the end of the song, pausing for a moment as it ended, before turning his head slightly to look at her, perhaps to see her reaction. He noticed small tears running down her face, and moved to wipe them away, not removing his hand from her cheek as they continued to stare into each other's eyes.

Slowly, but suddenly, the Doctor leaned his head down, capturing her lips with his own. Rose gasped slightly, one of her hands finding his shoulder, and the other the back of his neck, pulling him closer. The Doctor shifted his body so he could put his other hand on her waist, holding her there as they shared this perfect moment.

After what seemed like a millennia, and yet not long enough, they broke apart, resting their foreheads together, and grinning slightly.

"Hi." Rose whispered, smile growing wider by the second.

The Doctor chuckled and pulled her into a hug, kissing her forehead before replying. "Hello."
