Prologue: The Beginning of the End

Darkness loomed over trainer and Pokemon. Only the Pokemon's tail gave light in the gloomy world. Both were on a mission. Both would never come back.

An entity filled with unknown rage had caused the eternal darkness. Rocks stopped falling. The trees stopped blowing. The air ceased to be known. Water would not move. Light was no more.

These two were specially selected to stop this evil being and bring light and peace to the world. They were Raj the Trainer and Shiro the Charmeleon. As Shiro's tail gave more intensity in the area, passages were revealed and traps were avoided, particularly chasms in the ground. "Come on Shiro", Raj beckoned, "We're almost to the...exit..."

The reason for the pause: ambush.

5 Sabeleye and a Gengar stood in their way. The Sabeleye's jewels gleamed with delight. They stood a respectable distance away from the Gengar, poised for combat. The Genger spoke to them, "Not yet, my minions. A little chat is needed." As he said those last words, they retracted their poises and stood still. Nothing moved, nothing stirred. Gengar spoke again.

"Boy, give us the item. We know you have it."

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"Hehehehe...HAH HAH HAH!"

Gengar screamed and howled with laughter. Both Raj and Shiro were quite uncomfortable with this. Gengar's laughing fit stopped and continued.

"We...know...you...have...it...boy", he uttered in a murderous tone. "Give it to us and you will be spared."

"Boss, what do we do now?", Shiro whispered. "How are we supposed to escape?"

"Simple, we..."

WHOOOOOOOOOOSH

They all looked up, and Gengar smiled.

KARRRSSSSSHHH

The flying beast let loose a beam so powerful, it shook the fabric of time.

"NO, SHIRO!", Raj yelled.

"RAJ!"

And everything went black.
