Skullduggery Pleasant and Valkyerie Cain had been busy fighting all morning.
Skullduggery was fighting some Faceless followers while Valkyerie went after Two Gods, Skullduggery was worried sick, What if she was killed?
He was almost Dyeing (again) at the thought of it...
But he had to forget about it when another Facless follower came for him.
Valkyrie ran through the massive corn fields, straight for the two gods.
She leaped onto them, and got em by surprise.
She lunged at the First God and managed to kill it.
SHE HAD KILLED A GOD!
She forgot about the other one, until something came and grabbed her.
She couldnt breath.
She thought of Skullduggery and with all of her Energy and last bits of Breath screamed his name...
'SKULLDUG-'and just like that Valkyerie Cain lost her Breath and went into a deep sleep...
Skuldduggery heard Valkyerie and cursed, running straight for the Faceless one That was trying to use Val as a vessel.
Skullduggery was inches from it when he saw Vals lifeless body.
He roared like something from the jungle and ran straight for the God.
It was dead in seconds...
Skullduggery stopped beating the Faceless One to see all his friends looking at him.
They had won.
Tanith Low ran to her best friend crying furiously.
'No no no no no no...' Tanith said kneeling beside her lifeless friend.
Skulduggery ran to his partner falling beside her, 'This cant happen...' he whispered.
The Friends left the battle sight and ran for the van and Bentley.
Ghastly jumped in the driver seat, Tanith in the passenger seat and Skulduggery in the back with Valkyerie close to his chest.
Ghastly floored it just as the Cleavers arrived.
'Please Val, dont go... i can't lose you too...' Sulduggery quietly sobbed in the back seat.
Ghastly looked at Tanith and she smiled through all her tears.
The Bentley screeched to a halt and all Three jumped out.
Skulduggery almost ripped the Proffesors door down when he ran through.
Clarabelle greeted them with her toothy smile (more like a snarl today though...)
'Kenspeckle. Now.' Ordered Skullduggery.
Clarabelle looked at Val and nodded running down the corridor for Kenspeckle.
Kenspeckle looked up from his 'How to get Rid Of Skeletons' magazine.
Skulduggery didnt care.
Kenspeckle was about to shout at them when Skullduggery cut him off.
'Faceless One. Valkyerie. Help. Please.' Skulduggery managed to say with his shaky voice.
Kenspeckle understood imediatley and turned to them and brought Skulduggery and Valkyerie to the next room ahead.
'I really do hate you so get out!' ordered Kenspeckle.
Skulduggery was reluctant but did as he was told.
He sat there outside for three hours waiting and waiting.
Tanith and Ghastly had left ages ago.
He wasnt going anywhere.
Kenspeckle came out and nodded.
Skulduggery didnt know what to expect.
he walked into the room to see a pale Valkyerie in the bed.
Motionless, but breathing.
'That was good' he thought.
He went to sit down beside the bed.
And he waited...
I KNOW ITS DRAMATIC BUT FACE IT IM FUCKING IRISH AND A LIVING BREATHING SKELETON ISNT DRAMATIC?! LIVE WITH IT!
