Key words for the assignment: Cinema, kindness, betray. Plot summary: Tom, Alex, K-Unit, movie theaters.
"That movie was awful," Tom Harris said as he ducked out of the room. "I'm too tired to even consider it worth the money we paid."
"Do you think Americans always watch such trash at their cinemas?" Alex asked Tom, looking behind him with a backwards glance. His hair had suddenly stood up on his arms, and he knew someone he didn't like was behind him.
"I don't know, mate, no clue. But I do know that I don't inspire to watch one of their movies again. Who knew the guy was going to betray the girl?"
"That was pretty obvious from the beginning, Tom." Alex froze. "Oh, crud," he breathed. It was Eagle, K-Unit's most hyper member, and Wolf. "We have to get out of here," he said, grabbing Tom's arm.
"Why?" Tom questioned. "Are one of your superspy enemies after us?"
"Worse," Alex groaned, but then bumped directly into Fox.
"Cub!" the man responded, a cheeky grin on his face. "So good to see you again. How are you doing after that mission? You look much happier."
"I was much happier until I ran into you lot again. Why are you here?"
"We're at the cinema, like you," Fox responded. He lowered his voice. "Don't tell anyone, but it's Eagle's act of kindness for Wolf. He's getting out of telling Eagle a bed time story tonight, too."
"Shame, really," Eagle said. Alex glanced behind him warily. "Say, who's your mate?"
"I'm Tom," Tom said. He didn't bother sticking out his hand, but said, "Any enemy of Alex's is a friend of mine."
"Tom!" Alex responded, elbowing his friend so that the teen gave out a huge 'oomph.'
"Oh, it's okay," Eagle said. He glanced at Wolf, who was getting the movie tickets. "We're allowed to give out our names when we're not on active duty. My name's James," he added.
"James Bond," Fox said with a happy grin.
"Cool!" Tom said with a grin. "I've always wanted to meet the American superhero. Hey, Alex, wait – isn't that the movie that we went and saw?"
"James Bond? Certainly, mate." Alex smirked. "You, my friend, have the surname of the worst American hero ever."
"Do you think he likes Eagle better?" Tom said as he darted off towards Jack's car.
"Sorry," Alex responded, jerking his thumb towards his mate, "I'd really better get going before he does something stupid."
Fox patted his hand on Eagle's shoulder. "I totally understand."
"Hey, get off me," Eagle responded, "people will think we're gay."
"Eagle, I hate to break it to you, but people already know we're gay."
Alex's departing laughter was enough of a reward for Fox.
Please enjoy!
