On the outside, she was calm. Her legs folded, her arms elevated in tranquility, her facial expression smooth. The embodiment of peace.

"Azarath metrion zinthos…"

A dark landscape with twisted trees and jagged rock. Raven took careful step after careful step down the broken path of her thoughts. As she walked she saw her memories. The memories shown were of battles. She and the Titans fighting their enemies. Though, there was something wrong. They were losing. In each thought shown the battles were ending in bloodshed and death.

On the outside, her face twisted into an expression of distress. She tried to regain composure.

"Azarath metrion zinthos…"

The path again. The same distorted memories.

"No!" She screamed at the images. "We fought! We won!" She turned on the broken walk and ran. She ran and the images followed, surrounding her. All around the sounds and sights of fear itself were overtaking her.

"No! Stop! We won! They're alive! My friends are alive!"

The door to her room opened.

"Rae?" Whispered Beast Boy.

To him he saw nothing out of the ordinary. Raven hovering by her window. He could not see her face.

In her mind, Raven was locked in a crouch, enduring the delusions of horror. She started sobbing.

Outside her mind a single tear rolled down her cheek.

"Raven…" Beast Boy whispered again, walking towards her.

"A-azarath m-m-metrion…"

Beast Boy laid a hand on Raven's shoulder.

Raven's eyes shot open. She began to cry.

"Raven! What happened? What's wrong? What did you see?" Beast Boy asked as he knelt down beside her.

"I...saw us fighting. I saw us losing. I saw the end."

"What do you mean? What did we lose? What ended?"

Raven fell into Beast Boy's arms, tears streaming down her face.

"I saw every fight we ever fought, but we lost and you...and everyone…"

"Rae, it's okay." Beast Boy crooned, stroking her hair. "We're all okay. It's all okay."

"Beast Boy." Raven whispered looking up into his eyes. "Don't leave me."

"Never, Rae. Never."
