I was inspired. To all those who have seen So You Think You Can Dance, you'll know what I'm talking about and where this story is coming from. I was so inspired from Mia Michael's Time dance, I decided to write about it in the form of a Kyle XY story. For those who don't watch the show, her dance was a touching one, about her and her late father meeting in heaven so Mia can dance with him again.

Summary: Amanda meets her dad in heaven, for a visit. (But you really have to see the dance to see what I'm talking about. If you don't the story won't seem very good, I'm afraid.) But I suppose this story could stand alone.

AN: Bear with me, this really will be less touching than the dance, only because I will never be able to duplicate Mia Michael's genius.

Disclaimer: I don't own anything of Mia Michael's or of her dance. I also don't own Kyle XY.

Amanda stepped out into the bed of flowers. Bright yellows, teals, and purples were all gazing up at her, and she smiled back to the flowers. She looked up and saw her dad across the flowers, smiling at her. She waved, happy to see her dad again. She slowly walked over to him, as he walked over to her, careful to not squash the flowers beneath her.

Her dad picked up a flower and handed it gracefully to her. This was all she wanted and more. To see her dad again. She took the flower and joyfully pulled her dad in an embrace. She let go and picked up more flowers, handing them to him one by one. Her blonde hair cascaded down her shoulders, framing her clear water blue eyes. He looked exactly how he had in pictures. He hadn't changed a bit.

Her dad looked at Amanda. She looked so much like him. Same blonde hair, same structure, everything. Then, an identical copy of blue eyes, like staring into a mirror. He took her hand and twirled her around and around. Her childish giggle warmed his heart and he started to laugh, too. She stopped twirling and gathered more flowers, running around the field with them, tossing them here and there. He grinned and chased after her, running almost in slow motion. She saw him and sprinkled flowers on top of his head while he looked up, like catching raindrops. He caught her by the waist and she turned towards him and took his hand. They started to waltz, like old times. He twirled her and dipped her and laughed with her, until tears were streaming down her face. He marveled at her pretty white dress and she nodded in recognition of his white suit. She felt like a little girl, dancing with her father. She turned, loving her dress rippling in the air. He picked her up by her waist and turned her around, her in his arms. They danced in heaven.

She looked up at her dad, a smile of sadness and content on her face. It was time to leave. He twinkled, knowingly. She gave her dad another hug and kissed his cheek lightly. They both were still smiling as she waved goodbye. She backed away, into the bed of flowers, still waving. He was waving back with the purple flower she had given him. She smelled the sweetness of the flowers and saw her dad in the distance until there was nothing left to see. All we have is time.

AN: I will just have you know that I was almost crying when typing this. The dance was touching, and I tried to make the story like it, but added a little more. I was thinking of various people to do this with and I thought of many people. I actually started writing this as a Harry/Lily story and him seeing his mum in heaven. I was also thinking of Luna and her mum, but this really was the only pairing I loved. Read and review please.

Sorry if the author's note was more than the story.
