There were times when Roxas didn't feel like he knew himself at all.

These were the times when pulling Axel against him seemed like the absolute right thing to do.

He just wanted to experience that weird pull in his stomach when he kissed him, the thrill when Axel opened his mouth, the pleasurable jolt in his chest at the hot breath against his ear as Axel whispered his name.

Axel is something else. He is powerful and graceful and when Roxas gets his way, he is open and sincere. And it's all for him. All for Roxas. It's that feeling of belonging that keeps him coming back. He feels whole when he is in Axel's arms. He can forget about his doubts.

Roxas knows who he is when he's with Axel.

Roxas doesn't love him, though. He feels something, but it can't be that.

It can't be that.

It'll make leaving that much easier, knowing this.

But then Axel pulls him closer, kisses him gently, and wraps his arms around him. And Roxas leans into Axel, into his warmth and safety. He smiles to himself.

For now he would let go of those thoughts, and just live.
