The Mighty Ape
"Thank you Rangers, you've done a great service to the entire Universe." Tommy thanked all the Red Rangers for their help in stopping the remnants of the Machine Empire from reviving Serpenterra and destroying Earth.
"Don't mention it bro," Jason put his fist in the center of the group, quickly followed by the others as they shared a group fist bump.
"I guess it's time to say goodbye again. May the Power protect you all." Tommy turned to leave.
But before he could get very far he was interrupted by an extremely angry voice, "Aren't you forgetting someone!"
Tommy quickly spun around and came face to face with an irate Rocky, also a former Red Power Ranger of Earth.
Rocky crossed his arms and tapped his foot impatiently, waiting for an answer. And for Tommy's sake it had better be a good one.
Jason stepped up next to his former teammate, "Hey bro," he turned questioning eyes to Tommy. He had been wondering where his successor was.
"Uh um…I forgot," Tommy replied sheepishly rubbing his neck. Rocky's eyes just about bulged out of his head, nostrils flaring. His face taking on a shade similar to the red shirt he wore. Jason was surprised there wasn't steam coming out of his ears.
"Oh man," Jason clutched his sides in laughter. Figures their fearless leader still had a memory like swiss cheese.
"YOU FORGOT!"
"Better run," Jason wheezed out between laughs and Tommy turned on his heel and fled as Rocky pounced with a roar that would make his animal spirit proud.
As they watched the pissed off former red ranger chase his former leader around the air base, Cole leaned over and whispered to the rest of the guys, "Should we do something?"
As one they all shook their heads, "Nah."
It was nice to see the legendary ranger knocked down a peg or two.
Rocky had finally caught him and tackled him to the ground now raining down blows on Tommy's chest and arms as Tommy protected his face. He was going to be black and blue tomorrow, colors he had not worn yet.
"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU FORGOT ABOUT ME! THIS WILL SHOW YOU TO FORGET ABOUT THE MIGHTY APE!"
